Such a stone house in Istria is called \"kažun\" and there are over 5000 of them all over Istria. The oldest and largest folk festival in Istria is Bartulja, which takes place in Žminj on the last Saturday in August. It has a hundred-year tradition and is an opportunity to bring together locals, their relatives, friends and guests. Part of the festival is a fair where besides the livestock trade there are also vegetables from local farming, home-made cheese, wine, Istrian souvenirs, clothes and shoes, children\'s toys, etc.
